DPA Microphones
22live is now stocking DPA microphones for hire, and can support your DPA requirements.
We are able to advise on specification, demonstrate and build systems to deliver to your requirements.
Handheld microphones
DPA Microphones released the dfacto vocal microphone in 2014 and since then it has risen to set the benchmark for vocal microphones. The 2028 now completes the line-up with a slightly lower price point. All models available for both wired and wireless setups.
The 2028 Vocal Microphone
The 2028 sports a supercardioid capsule with the famously flat DPA off-axis response. This gives the microphone a very high gain-before-feedback and at the same time makes it so much easier for sound engineers to handle bleed from other instruments at close proximity. The 2028 picks up these off-axis sounds in the most natural way.
Available as both a wired handheld, or as a capsule with adapter to suit various brands of wireless systems.
d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone
The d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone features the MMC4018VL Supercardioid Capsule, which is extremely linear.
Available as both a wired handheld, or as a capsule with adapter to suit various brands of wireless systems.
d:facto Softboost Vocal Microphone
The d:facto Vocal Microphone features the MMC4018V Supercardioid Capsule, which has a high-end boost. The MMC4018V is often chosen because it ‘cuts through’ on a broadcasting set, where the content typically ends up transmitted to built-in television speakers with limited audio quality.
Available as both a wired handheld, or as a capsule with adapter to suit various brands of wireless systems.
Instrument Microphones
DPA’s 4099 set a new standard for instrument mics with a comprehensive range of mounting options and the famous DPA signature flat response.
We feature here some of the key products but please enquire with us for more info, or to learn more about some of the Instrument kits that are also available.
4055 Kick Drum Microphone
The 4055 is one of the only kick drum mics that is not sonically pre-tailored to fit a traditional sound in a specific genre. Its performance allows a professional sound designer to create the exact sound s/he is listening for - regardless of the music genre.
2015 Wide Cardioid Microphone
In a live situation when a conventional cardioid pattern isn’t quite open enough, choose a pair of 2015 Compact Wide Cardioids. They work ideally as overheads to capture a balanced sound of the entire group of instruments, like a drum kit.
2012 Compact Cardioid Microphone
The 2012 Compact Cardioid Mic is the best all-around, generalist mic that you can find to cover a wide range of close-miking needs on the live stage. It is a robust and reliable condenser mic, best for single instrument pickup.
4099 Instrument Microphone
From the piano to guitar; strings to woodwinds; brass to percussion, the 4099 Series sounds equally impressive on them all. This one microphone model can beautifully reinforce an entire orchestra. You can move the mic to another instrument; just make sure you have the right type of clip to mount it correctly.
Headset Microphones
DPA Microphones have become an industry standard for professional headworn microphones.
The range covers traditional designs, and all are incredibly customisable but essentially the current preferences equate to the following models:
4466 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone
4488 Directional Hedaset Microphone
4466 omnidirectional capsule is more commonly used, but with 4488 being specified for use in more challenging envirnonments. These models use the latest design headset that is the most flexible and adaptive and still available in 3 colours; Brown, Black and Beige for different skin tones and with mutliple termination options.
6066 Subminiature Headset Microphone
The capsule of the 6066 CORE Subminiature Headset is just 3 mm (0.12 in) in diameter, but packs the audio power of larger, award-winning DPA mics. Despite its small size, it is abundant in clarity, consistency and durability.
Available in 3 colours; Brown, Black and Beige for different skin tones and with mutliple termination options.
Measurement Microphone
The perfect partner to a MIPRO wireless system dedciated for use with Smaart
4090 Omnidirectional Microphone
Due to their remarkably linear frequency response in the 20 Hz to 20 kHz range, sound system engineers can also use these mics for sound system alignment, testing and tuning.
