Infrastructure

Technical support, expert advice and innovative infrastructure are all integral parts of what we deliver to ensure we are a ‘quality’ provider. We believe that it is not only about the equipment you have available to rent but how you package that equipment, making it ‘tour ready’ that matters.

  • Without the legacy of aged line system, 22live had a unique opportunity to go back to the drawing board and make things relevant to the demands of today. Without compatibility restrictions and with no requirements for systems designed around analogue consoles, our modern line system focuses on how to get signals from stage to stage racks, how to build an efficient splits system, how to provide a modular signal distribution setup that will be flexible and scalable for all applications and for all events. We believe we have built the solution.

Our entire line system is modular, modules can slot into various rack-mountable caddy’s meaning we can carry 2 modules in 1U of rack space or 10 modules in a 4U rackspace. Modules can do various jobs such as; receive a 16 channel multipin and split it to 2 stage racks from stage, act as an 8 channel multipin break-out, provide XLR, EtherCON or Fibre link throughs etc.

The signal path starts with 16 channel stage remotes, from there the modular system can be used to distribute through stage racks, drive rack and amplifier racks in any configuration to suit. Our system is unique and innovative, saves space, prep time and is efficient.

  • 22live is standardising on LK multipin connectors, using LK25 8 channel and LK54 16 channel audio connectors, as well as LK25 speaker multi’s.

We are using NLT4 as standard and also employing NL8 with Link break-outs for speaker multi’s where LK25 is overkill. This keeps all of our cabling as lightweight and low volume as possible, meaning we have an appropriate multi system for all sizes of event.

22live is standardising on the HMA Fibre connector which has become industry standard. We will also be deploying quad core Fibre for FOH runs again giving us more flexibility and options with a single cable. We will deploy fibre for various protocols including Dante.

  • Without legacy we have the advantage of being able to utilise the best of what’s currently available. We will use PowerCON TRU for all of our stage mains and much of our racked power distribution systems, keeping cabling small, efficient and neat. Stage Mains boxes will be of the same size as our stage remotes, meaning storage systems on stage are compatible.

We are also able to provide heavy mains power distribution systems with the usual 125A 3Ø and 63A 3Ø supplies.

  • All of our flightcases are designed to work around standard sizes. Our aim with cases is first and foremost consistency and modularity. All of our case sizes are developed with the truck pack in mind. We are also now introducing new concepts to make the same cases flexible for different roles. Ie. Utilising inserts in Cable trunks to accommodate rigging bars etc. This type of innovation not only helps us to make better use of more of our stock more of the time, and keep costs down, but also is a greener solution, minimising the amount of cases left dormant in the warehouse.

All of our flightcases are high quality, touring spec cases, and we have also incorporated LED rack lights to all of our larger racks.

Our drive racks too have been well thought through to provide all that is required for a modern drive system including drive processors, audio analysing systems, multiple screens, rack mountable computers, networking, mobile tablets, as well as bespoke line systems and fibre interfaces... We’ve found that simplifying packaging concepts often produces a more efficient result that will also provide more flexibility.
